Great animation assists a sad, but good, story
This anime was one of those whose name I've heard of or come across every now and then, but I never really knew what it was about or really much anything about it. After finishing an episode of Kamigami no Asobi, I saw this in the "Other Romance Shows You May Like" section, and decided, what the heck, I'll give it a shot.

The 60-minute movie centers around a guy, Takaki Tono, and two girls, ...

My Shory review of this amazing anime film
The art is amazing, the story is very relatable, and it shows how time, feelings, distance, space and relationships work/conflict with each other. The message is rather deep and it kinda depends on the watcher to fully grasp the symbolism behind the events, and if you want stories with resolution/denouement, this is not it. But it doesn't mean it's not good. Still it's amazing. Give it a shot.

Innocent, Pure, Peaceful, Beautiful and Refreshing Movie/Trilogy
I watched this because of "One more time, One more chance" which is kind of like a trailer/MV version of the entire movie, summed up. It's a great movie for anyone who doesn't yearn for tons of drama and action. It's peaceful and beautiful in general. It's a tragic romance, not because someone dies but because of heartbreak. It portrays childhood love and unrequited love.
    There are three ...

    5 cm/s in Sub [Good]
I found it exciting. Most of the story wasn't connected in a way I could follow easily and more emotions were said than dialogue. I have to give the writers credit where it stands. I enjoyed the pace of the show, the Japanese verbiage. and the artwork. I don't like how open ended each short story was, it seemed unfinished. Sound effects get an A+
If I could ask anything of the story it would be ...

Some of the most beautiful animation out there.
There are two things that make this film special. 1. Absolutely beautiful art direction, animation, colorization, just the setting comes to life and draws the viewer in. and 2. A quietly compelling set of stories that are so easy to empathize with. I am particularly drawn to the second story, as I could identify so fully with the lead's voice. This is a must have for fans of drama and romance, who ...

    An Exceptional Masterpiece
"The speed cherry blossom petals fall is five centimeters per second."

    -Akari Shinohara

5 Centimeters per Second is the heartbreaking story between the couple, Takaki and Akari. Told in the fashion of three separate acts, we explore the themes of letting go of the past and growing up. What makes the movie stand out is that it perfectly executes the interactions between the characters ...

    Beautiful Artwork + Love Stories
This anime exceeded my expectations. I expected a cheesy romance show with weird characters, but in return, I got to see one of the best art works. This anime has showed me that it is okay to be in love.
Story 1- This story made me cry. It is about a boy meeting an old friend of his. He gets on a train to go meet his friend (who he kept in touch with by sending letters to her) but his train gets ...

    Makoto Shinkai Is Amazing!
The animation aside, which is absolutely beautiful and breathtaking, the stories highlighted in 5 Centimeters Per Second are all very touching and very sad. A story about a young love that just couldn't be. Whether it was unsure feelings, long distance, or simply growing and forgetting the two central characters were destined no to be together.

Normally this is the type of story that I would ...
