    Somewhat disjointed.
When the ending montage started in, I was a little confused. All I could think was, that's it it?! But as I watched the montage, I realized that the song and the montage told the rest of the story & filled in the gaps. Takaki & Akari grew apart with time but while Akari moved on with her life, Takaki never did. It's really sad watching it and the realization that Takaki comes to that leds to ...

  • No happy ending to this slice of life / romance
Sometimes it is nice to watch a story where the guy doesn't really get the girl.

Unfortunately the story skipped around a bit, it wasn't clear who all the characters were, the narration seemed a bit much at times, and we watched the dub which had somewhat lackluster voice actors with a lot of deadpan delivery.

However, the art, especially the backgrounds, was gorgeous. The music was also ...

  • A Heartbreaking Tale
I loved seeing this the first time round and now that I'm watching it again with my significant other, its much more meaningful. It's a beautiful tale that will leave you teary eyed and hopeful. A definite classic that deserves much more recognition.

  • 5 Centimeters per Second
This anime was extremely relative, yet heartbreaking. I enjoyed it because it held true to what real love can feel like and turn into. If you're looking for a romance with a happy ending you won't want to watch this one.
I found part two extremely hard to watch because I have experienced this same situation one too many times.
Overall, it's very good but also very heartbreaking.

  • First Anime I felt the need to review
So, this is my first ever review, and I'm going to keep it short. This is, as the title says, the first anime I've seen that I've felt the need to review. This is also the first anime that's made me cry. It's amazing, and really touching. I'm not sure what else to say, since so many have already said it better than me.

  • Trully a Masterpiece
This moive has some of the most crazy heart jerking moments in it. The art is beautiful, and characters are relatable. All though this is a movie it does a great job at capturing the life of the main character and the way his life pans out. 10/10. Would recommend to everyone who enjoys great movies

  • I have no words except beautiful
Animation is just gorgeous! On top of that a really heart wrenching story about two kids in love and the long distance between them. Though caution this is very depressing but not in a bad way, I love it. This is totally worth the watch, only 64 min and its better than angel beats (in my opinion) and that was one of my favorite animes. You can not say you've lived until you've watched this film. ...

  • One of the most Praiseworthy Animes I've Seen to Date
5 Centimeters per Second is perhaps one of the best examples of romance in an anime movie to date.

The story is split into three parts, and each are told in an elegant and deep fashion, without ever seeming contrived or rushed. Each of these stories contains extremely relatable characters, more so than many other animes that I've seen. The characters truly feel like real people, to the point ...

  • Um......What!?......
This was very nice. It's something to watch on a rainy day when you have nothing to do. The background was beautiful with cool imagery. It was kind of sad. Not a tear shed but still left an empty feeling inside. I only gave it 5 stars due to the fact it had some recognizable english voice actors from anime I love dearly. Like Blue Exorcist and Haibane Renmei, etc. I felt that it had no real ...

  • Great Story, Not so Great Ending
The backgrounds were beautiful and the characters matched the background. Still the characters look similar for some reason. Anyways, the ending was kinda off. If they extended for at least 10 more minutes then they could have done a better job in making the ending more settling. Even though it's sad, the least they could have done was to make the ending clearer. Altogether this movie is great. ...
