Less Love Polygon, More Love Daisy Chain
"This anime is worth experiencing for the stunning visuals" is a statement of praise that also usually means corners were cut in other important areas (plot, characters, etc.). Thankfully, the visuals here are backed up by an interesting story.

In a world where humanity lived under the sea before adapting to live on land, four students still living underwater must now adapt to their new school ...

Beautiful animation and art but extreme melodrama
This is a romantic drama that has many multiple love triangles. The romance in this anime starts out great but then fluctuates like rollercoaster, in other words the melodrama gets outta hand. But even though I don't like melodrama the beautiful art and animation makes up for it. This anime is close to the beautiful animation of "The Garden of Words" movie (which I highly recommend). While ...

    Stunning Animation Packed With Love
Let's face it, the animation and art style were the two things that really drew me into this show. They were able to combine elements from lots of different movies and make it into something unique. The story starts off with 4 middle school students who live in the sea. They are forced to attend school on the surface after their school closes. What follows is an immense adjusting to the life in ...

It's like being in a whole new world.
The two separate worlds creates so much tension and different perspectives in a tremendously overwhelming way. The story that follows it makes the smaller, yet unique problems of the love chain more desirable to listen out and pour your feelings for. If it doesn't hit close to home, what else could?

Confusion between all of the characters makes so much drama and it lets the story ride from the ...

    Interesting Idea, Frustrating Characters
I'm about halfway through right now, and it's getting more and more interesting. The plot is very well done, and the concept seems very original. The artwork is also beautiful.

The only real drawback for me is the characters - they are so frustrating! I don't really like any of the main cast except maybe Tsumugu Kihara (the kid from the surface), and none of the side characters stand out to me ...

My favourite anime of all time!
It's so beautiful, the love stories in this anime are intense but it's so intense that you're having a hard time deciding who is more perfect than the other. The scenery and backgrounds are so well done I can't stop myself from re-watching this anime!

  • Rich in Story, Emotion, and Art
Allow me to share my first impressions as I began this show, "Ah, I see we've got a love triangle going on. Oh, hang on, this triangle has another triangle. What the? Okay, going deeper.... GEEZE HOW FAR WILL THEY TAKE THIS?!"

Luckily, everything was more or less resolved romance-wise in the end. But more importantly were the things that kept me hooked throughout the show: the art, the story, ...

  • Melodramatic enough to separate soul and body, but otherwise good.
    Specific Ratings (0-5)

    Art: 5.0

    Story: 4.9

    Characters: 2.9

    Music: 5.0

While this is a good anime, the best parts about it are the premise and the art. The premise is very attractive, being modern but yet fantasy. And the art is very good, even though even it somehow manages to convey melodrama. But, you know how the title of this review is "Melodramatic enough to separate ...

  • Stories of love and life
Beautiful artworks and animation, the colors are bright, cheerfull and even more for the landsacpe under the sea.
About the scenario good too, about two world which must learn to leave again together unless bad things happen but the mainstream is about love triangle and melodrama nearly all along the 24 episodes. I'm not found of drama so some passages seems a little long to me but the visuals ...

  • Love at first watch~
This is one of those animes that captivated me back when there were only stills and clips of this gorgeous world. Then it intrigued me with reviews and reactions. Then took me away upon my marathon which led to an appreciation i shared with so many people rewatching this. Its just beautiful on the inside and with every frame on the outside. I should have expected as much with my love for I.G's ...
