Kun Gao

Co-Founder & CEO

Kun has helped drive Crunchyroll from idea to a profitable company with multi-millions in revenue, spearheading international content licensing, product, operations and monetization. He has over 7 years of experience in consumer facing websites, including founding Frappr.com (acquired by Slide), and joining HOTorNOT. Kun graduated from U.C. Berkeley with honors B.S. in Electrical Engineer and Computer Science and B.A. in Applied Mathematics in 2004, and was a PhD candidate in Computer Science at Carnegie Mellon focusing on Database research.

Brady McCollum

EVP & COO

Brady was one of Crunchyroll's earliest hires and has helped develop Crunchyroll into a profitable company with multi-millions in revenue, spearheading international content licensing, operations, localization, partnerships and monetization. Prior to Crunchyroll, he worked for Accenture and advised Fortune 500 Retail companies on business process and system improvements. Brady graduated from U.C. Berkeley with honors B.S. in Industrial Engineering and Operations Research in 2005.

Vince Shortino

General Manager

Vince has over 20 year of sales, marketing and business development experience with a history of creating and driving new business to meet and exceed goals in Japan. Vince is skilled in prospecting, qualifying leads, identifying decision-makers, analyzing needs, preparing proposals and execution. His career includes 4 years at Matsushita (Panasonic), 2.5 years at Sharp, 6+ years at 3Com, 2.5 years at Skype and 1 year at Bittorrent K.K.

Brandon Ooi

Co-Founder

Crunchyroll has been a long passion for Brandon and is a culmination of years of learning and evolution. He sees Crunchyroll as a marriage of media and technology that can fundamentally change the way people enjoy cultures from around the world. Brandon currently specializes in backend architecture and scalability which can be traced from the beginning of his career at HOTorNOT, an early web company. Brandon graduated from UC Berkeley with a B.S. in Electrical Engineering & Computer Science with a minor in Bioengineering.

Rupert Chen

VP of Engineering

Rupert joined Crunchyroll for the opportunity to revolutionize an industry. Since then, he has lead the architecture of a service now delivering content to millions of viewers across a dozen different platforms. Prior to Crunchyroll, he was at Salesforce.com shipping high-profile features such as the first major site re-design, the customer self-service portal, and call center telephony integration. Rupert graduated from U.C. Berkeley with a B.S. in Electrical Engineering & Computer Sciences.
