  • Hard to Follow Along and Stay Interested
This is probably just because of a preference of mine, because I find political series hard to follow. I tried watching up to 3 or so episodes, but I found it hard to keep track of what was happening in the series. The art style is really interesting, I have to give it that at least.

  • Refreshingly different sort of anime
ACCA is a bit hard to rate. Overall, it's a good anime, if not spectacular. The reason it merits a high rating is probably more because it's something of a rare bird, no pun intended. It forgoes most, if not all, juvenile and common anime tropes in favor of more realistically portrayed characters and more subtle storytelling.

The viewers are actually kept mostly in the dark for a good ...

  • Really engaging show about... politics?
I'm going to honest, I started watching this show because I saw that the stylish intro got nominated for a Crunchyroll Anime Award and I was craving something a little different. I did not expect to get so thoroughly involved, especially after the relatively slow start in the first episode. This anime has a wonderful charm and mystery (and cool animation style / character designs) that kept me ...

  • Thought provoking and radically refreshing
I added this anime to my queue some time last year, strictly based on what I'd seen of the art style and that it kept popping up when I'd browse through the shows Crunchyroll offers. I feel like a fool for waiting so long to actually watch it! Was it at all what I thought it was going to be like? Absolutely not. It turned out to be another beast entirely.
I'm someone who usually watches shows ...

  • Different but truly excellent!
There is a definite slow burn to this series but towards the end it certainly keeps you on your toes. The animation style is excellent. The story is structured very well. The pacing was a bit slow in the beginning but it still manages to suck you in anyway. I honestly never thought I would cheer for giant bureaucracy. It was a truly excellent series!

  • Interesting and different from the norm
I started watching this as a "time consumer" but ended up loving it. A bit slow at first, but totally worth every minute.

I do have to say this isn't really an "action" anime so if you see comments about how it is slow, boring, forced, a commercial, are all because they either dislike the idea of smoking, or are the type to get bored after a show of no action, and no fan-service... (My ...

  • Bureaucrats Eat Sweets And Cause Trouble
It's basically what the title says. Roughly 20% of the airtime is people eating cakes, but that doesn't really detract from the show. It's a political drama with elements of dessert/bread fetishism, so prepare to hear "sanduwich breado?!" about 50 times. It has a fascinating setting, and though the characters aren't memorable, they serve the drama well. Despite a couple holes due to what I assume ...

    Dejando ...

  • An interesting story
It might be slow, but it's a great story and build up, and finishes the story off well. It's been while since I've seen an anime so well rounded out and telling a story without having to add 17 different plots, a X.5 episode summary mid way, and the dreaded "beach" episode. This doesn't have those and works great. Thanks ACCA! 9.5/10

  • Unique, clever, and calming
Acca is a show where looking at a still shot just doesn't impress. But once in motion it is mezmorizing. The jazzy soundtrack and opening definitely help set the mood. This is a show not about over the top action or over-used tropes, but rather just clever story telling. It won't be for everyone but for those that enjoy a good tale with some twists this one does it in spades.
