An odd show adapted from an odd game
Episode one review at the bottom

Overall, I have to say that this show was a bit of a letdown, but is some stupid fun. It's adapted from the game series of the same name and the concept is as follows. There are vampire-like creatures, called bugged ones, in Akihabara and they are defeated by stripping them of their clothes. Completely ridiculous, but still entertaining. I was super excited for ...

Review from a person who has never played the game.
This anime has a particular vibe to it. A good amount of action and humor complement themselves well together as well as some child-like aspects. I think the show has a pretty good starting point and i hope to see some good things out of it. The only reason i gave it 4 stars is I don't believe this show is worth a 5 star yet and I can't give it a 4.5 so a 4 will do. Overall this show has a lot of ...

I believe fun is the word to best describe it*
when I first saw the PV for this anime... I had very low expectations, its seemed as though it would just be an anime with over the top fanservice, after finishing the first episode I was quite surprised.

the first thing that caught my eye was the characters, for example the main character Tamotsu Denkigai, from his positive outlook on the situation at hand or how zany his way of going about ...

    Weird But Strangely Entertaining
Why the actual hell does this premise actually work? This shit is so weird but it's kind of strangely entertaining. I don't know whether it's going to turn out to be terrible or good but this first episode did at the very least hold my attention.

Gives a similar vibe to Keijo
It reminds me of Keijo. The anime takes itself seriously, yet at the same time doesn't. It makes for a hilarious series with good humor. The action is great and the animation is colorful and vibrant. The first episode is pretty decent.

    Review of episode 1:

    Lives up to my expectations
Spoiler Free Review :D. Now straight to the point; do I recommend this anime? Yeah, I do, its a nice fun show that does comedy just right... and by that I mean taking it extremely overboard and going full wtf. This anime knows what it is, and knows that no one can take it seriously when the entire premise is fights to the death where you lose if you get naked. This makes the serious points funnier ...

It not the same as the game and thats ok!
many reviews are arguing saying that it isn't a faithful adaptation to the game but in reality game stories don't translate over to other media very well and this recognized that
It is pretty decent as a standalone and id say its worth your time. It of course isn't like the game but if it was a clone then people wouldn't bother buying the game

It Knows What it is (And loves it)
Akiba's Trip is a campy, lovable experience following the adventures of a goofball otaku stumbling into a battle against superhumans that are defeated by being stripped to their underwear. So far the show revels in how stupid it is, and keeps the show interesting with a stylistic and fluid animation style. Taking place in Akihabara, the main character is a diehard otaku to the point that after ...

    Pretty entertaining!
I liked this unusual show! The story seems fairly original to me, although I've only been watching anime for about 18 months, and I'm not a true Otaku holed up in my claustrophobic cubicle surrounded by posters of 2D waifus and 6 inch tall anime dolls. But I digress. I laughed and chuckled a few times, and never felt emotionally manipulated or bored by tired, overused tropes and stereotypes. And ...

  • Great show from a great game
Back when this show was announced I was super exited. I loved the game and knew I would love the show. So lets start with the opening

    Opening song/animation 4/5
The song itself is catchy, but what really wins it is the animation of it. It gives you a pretty good gist of what you're about to watch.

    Plot 3.5/5
Its a starts with similar plot to the game, mc gets turned into a synth/bugged ...
