Aldnoah Zero is a must watch!
The first episode was great. Although the plot was moving a bit too fast that is expected from a 12 episode anime. We can't expect too much from one episode but the scenes in the first episode was enough to catch me. The artwork is great and so is the OST which was a super eargasm (as expected from Hiroyuki Sawano). I think this anime is definitely gonna hit the top for mecha animes.

A Great Anime, But It Could Have Been Better
This will be a quick, targeted review. Most people who read a review don't want flowerly language from a wannabe critic, so I'll get right to the point. This show is great because it's pretty much a reversal of the "Gundam Formula". In Aldnoah.Zero, the Gundams (extremely powerful enemies) are the bad guys more or less. It's up to the main character to find the enemies' weaknesses and defeat ...

An Interesting Concept...until you see where it comes from.
"Watched up to episode 21 so I know what I'm talking about"

This is one of those shows where there is barely anything of value but somehow the fanboys will still manage to get their reviews to the top and fool the rest of you into watching a well-animated but truly mediocre anime.

The show begins on the premise that in an alternate timeline, one of the Apollo missions ended up discovering a ...

    It started out alright...
but in the end, nothing happened. Its a series with a lot of potential to be super cool gone completely down the drain. Its mecha, which normally entails super cool fights, baller giant armour suits, and a whole lot of emotional cockpit scenes. While we had the last, every single fight scene was CGI'd, which led to what might have been cool turning into a very very slow series of scenes of green ...

Simply brilliant- What Mecha anime should be.
After watching this, you may not be able to enjoy any other mecha shows!

Down and dirty: This isn't a typical mecha show so much as what a mecha show SHOULD be. The MC is competent and careful strategist. He wins through correctly analyzing his opponent's strengths and weaknesses, then utilizes the environment to counter them (using common equipment against the OP mechs). The characters are ...

    Ald-No, stop it...just no
A slightly intriguing first episode that quickly falls like a lead balloon. Being an older fan of anime and growing up in the years of the space opera, I was very intrigued at the concept of newer take on the mecha series. Sadly though, this anime played out like a high school drama in space with robots...poorly rendered cg robots.

Inaho is a completely unlikable, emotionless, robotic wunderkin ...

Full of twists and turns... for the worse
A formulaic show with a tough few first episodes to get through. Character development is scarce. We are expected to just take everyone for who they are. Inoha's super-human abilities are supposed to be an every-day characteristic we must take at face value.

At one point, though, this flawed show turns into an abominable mess. The twists, which I'm assuming were supposed to be ~riveting~, seem ...

    Cliche and uninspiring
Aldnoah Zero is a generic mecha anime with nothing to separate it from the other animes that saturate this genre. Almost everything is cliche and overdone it's not even funny.

Main character that doesn't talk much but somehow is a better mech pilot than people who do it as their job even though he's still in highschool? Check.
Princess character that wants peace but somehow it backfires on ...

    Decent but somewhat lacking
I would like to start by saying that I am not a fan of overpowered characters. Be they overpowered good guys or overpowered bad guys. I know plenty of people are, and there's nothing wrong with that, it's just not for me.
That will also be personally my main problem with this show, which could be considered just as much an inability to suspend my disbelief as a fault of the show I suppose. ...
