Hello out there,
Let's ask and answer three simple questions:
What do I do?
I've been providing news to various anime forums from conventions since the first Anime Boston in 2003. Since 2005, I have attempted to transcribe what is said in real time at conventions for users via IRC and later, made it available to all via a website: http://bayoab.info/live/live2.php. Why do it that way instead of blogging? Because nobody else did.
What else do I do?
Outside of conventions, my favorite topics to watch are the US industry, sales numbers, statistics such as fan surveys, and the randomness that comes out of Japan. These are pretty much the same topics that have interested me since I became an anime fan around 2000.
What am I doing here?
I was hoping you could... No, too cliche. Providing you, the reader, with something that you hopefully find informative, entertaining, or if possible, both? That really sounds too forced and obvious. Mixing paragraph 2 with some of paragraph 1 and including commentary and analysis at times? Bingo! I'll call it, "It-It's not like I like writing news for you or anything!"
