Fanart Friday rises from its grave, but not to save a princess or eat your brains! As a big fan of comics, animation, and art in general, I find fanart from artists of all skill levels to be an inspiring thing. All of today's choices come from Pixiv, a Japanese art community practically overflowing with original, interesting fanart (and of course, plenty of excellent original work) from the unbearably awesome to the just plain weird--you might remember art from the site earlier this week from the great Steve Jobs Tribute by our own Scott Green.
DISCLAIMER: None of the art presented is the property of myself or Crunchyroll. All characters and series are tm and © their respective creators and corporate owners. All art is the creative property of their respective artists. Any artists who wish to have their work removed from this article may contact me, and appropriate action will be immediately taken.
Tell me this wouldn't be an awesome crossover.
My money's on Alice. Although Kratos might whine her to death...

It is a crime, an absolute crime, that Scott Pilgrim vs. the World lost at the box office to Vampires Suck.
They're like a ninja answer to Black Dynamite. Sorry Naruto, you're no longer my favorite character, haven't been for a while.
It's a real testament to Final Fantasy VI's longevity when it can still feel relevant and fresh almost twenty years later.
No, Hellboy--YOU filed them off, so you don't get to have horns, even if they're make-believe horns.
Why does everybody remember looking for sailors or forklift-driving when Shenmue is brought up? Because I remember intense 2-on-50 brawls.
Oh, Espada... you were supposed to be so cool, but most of you died in such stupid ways.
Not pictured: getting lost in Dracula's castle for the hundredth time even though you just looked at the map.
Raijin was bringing Fist of the North Star out here, along with City Hunter and The First President of Japan... but alas, it proved to be too much man for the American market, and I wept bitter tears at its cancellation.
Do I get a prize for finding art of Nami's new design that won't get me fired?
Oh, Legolas and Gimli, YOU SO MOE
The thing is, Kuwabara was never that dumb. He just hung around with super-geniuses like Kurama and Hiei, and Yusuke was the master of backup plans, so it just made Kuwabara look real stupid in comparison.
And saving the best for last...
I KNEW IT. "Brothers to the end" indeed.
That's all for this week, folks. Seriously, if you don't start making requests I'm just going to populate Fanart Friday either with stuff I like or stuff designed to make your eyes bleed. Tell us who you want to see here! Next week, I'll be cruising through DeviantArt, so let me know!
