A Different Kind of Game Boy Music

Fresh uses for 1989's classic hunk of plastic


At this point pretty much everyone has heard some variety of music generated on a Nintendo Game Boy. It's pretty simple: talented individuals create music via a cart-based program called LSDJ (Little Sound DJ), making miracles happen thanks to the surprisingly beefy sound of which the classic portable is capable. YouTube user MrSeberi, however, has opted for an even less traditional approach to composition.


You can see the results of his efforts in the video below (direct link here). What starts out as a series of simplistic button-press beats quickly swells into a complex flurry of Gameboy-related tips, taps and thwacks.
