The art of Takehiko Inoue (Slam Dunk, Vagabond, REAL) always goes down smoothly, even more so when the sale of said art is for a good cause. With that notion in mind, Viz announced on Monday that two collections of SMILE: PRAY FOR JAPAN—each containing art Inoue made on his iPad with an app called Zen Brush—are available through their Manga app.
Inoue originally created the illustrations as a gesture of support for victims of the March 11 earthquake and tsunami. Appropriately, All Viz Media proceeds from the purchase of the collections will be donated directly to the Japanese Red Cross Society. Both volumes of SMILE can be viewed on Apple iPhones, iPod Touches and iPads.
Here are the details of each volume:
SMILE: PRAY FOR JAPAN Volume 1
Includes illustrations numbered 34 through 100
SMILE: PRAY FOR JAPAN Volume 2
Includes illustrations 101 to 120
