Ichigo Mashimaro Manga Uploader Arrested

Also PSP game "Tactics Ogre: Let Us Cling Together"

On May 17, Aichi Prefectural Police's living and economic affairs division and Minami station arrested a 33-year-old office worker from Nagoya, Aichi, on suspicion of using Share file-sharing software to upload the Ichigo Mashimaro (Strawberry Marshmallow) manga and the PSP game Tactics Ogre: Let Us Cling Together to the Internet without the copyright holder's permission, the Association of Copyright for Computer Software (ACCS) reported.

 

According to the report, the man uploaded the PSP game Tactics Ogre: Let Us Cling Together which is owned by SQUARE ENIX to the Internet on February 3, 2011 and the Ichigo Mashimaro manga which is published by ASCII MEDIA WORKS on March 7, 2011.  The man has admitted his guilt and said that he wanted to share the files with others.

 

The police also found that the man had uploaded obscene pictures to the Internet, and has arrested

him on suspicion of publicly displaying obscene material as well.
