Edinburgh Film Festival to Screen Arrietty in June

Studio Ghibli's take on The Borrowers plays June 18 and 20

Since so many events posted seem to take place in either North America or Japan, here's one for our readers in the UK. The Edinburgh International Film Festival will be screening Studio Ghibli's Karigurashi no Arrietty next month with two showings, one on June 18 and the other on June 20.

Arrietty—helmed by Ghibli first-time director Hiromasa Yonebayashi and based on the 1952 British Children's book The Borrowers—was originally released in Japan last July. According to the film's page, it looks like they'll be running the English dub, which features Will Arnett, Amy Poehler and Carol Burnett in the lead roles.

The June 18 and 20 showings kick off at 1220 and 1945, respectively. Tickets go on general release this Friday, May 20 for £9, or £7.50 for students, senior citizen or other concessions. Anyone that is or will be in the UK looking to go check out this film fest?
