Square Enix's massively multiplayer online RPG Final Fantasy XIV got off to a shaky start during its initial launch, and still requires some time before it fully leaps those hurdles. However, that isn't stopping the company from planning to add more online goodness to their lineup.
Square Enix CEO Yoichi Wada brought up plans to run at least one more MMO in addition to FFXIV during an earnings briefing on May 13, a full transcript of which was posted on Square's IR page today. The goal is to get two to three large-scale titles running simultaneously in an effort to generate stable cash flow.
Despite the lack of concrete details, Wada did offer one little tease. One of the MMOs is already in development, with an announcement on the horizon some time this fiscal year.
