Anime Expo has announced electronic dance act Nirgilis, director Seiji Mizushima, and voice actors Toshiyuki Morikawa and Taliesin Jaffe as Guests of Honor for 2011. All of them will be participating in a meet-and-greet, as well as their own autograph sessions and focus panels.
Electronic dance act Nirgilis is known for the Eureka Seven opening theme "sakura," the D.Gray-man ending theme "SNOW KISS," the Tetsuwan Birdy Decode 02 opening theme "kiseki", and most recently the Deadman Wonderland ending theme "SHINY SHINY." They will be performing on July 1st at Club Nokia.
Seiji Mizushima was the director of projects such as Fullmetal Alchemist, Mobile Suit Gundam 00, Shaman King and Hanamaru Kindergarten. It is known that he is currently working on a new project, but details have not been made public yet.
Taliesin Jaffe is a voice actor, ADR director, and ADR script writer. His numerous voice roles include the English voices for Takeya in DearS, Joe in Speed Grapher, Hatomura in Paranoia Agent, and Kenkichi in Kamichu!
Toshiyuki Morikawa is a voice actor whose numerous roles include the Japanese voices for Katsuya Jyonouchi (aka Joey Wheeler) in Yu-gi-oh!, Naraku in Inuyasha, Katakura Kojuurou in Sengoku Basara, and the voice of Sephiroth in Final Fantasy VII.
Anime Expo 2011 will take place from July 1st to July 4th at the Los Angeles Convention Center in Los Angeles, California.
