Last week we posted about Solatorobo: Red The Hunter getting a North American release, but the publisher was still in question. Now, thanks to a press release issued today, we know XSEED Games will be bringing the title to North America this fall.
Developed by CyberConnect2 (.hack, Silent Bomber), the Nintendo DS-bound action RPG is viewed by many as the spiritual successor to 1998's Tail Concerto, a beloved but overlooked title on the original Playstation. A fresh set of screens accompanied the announcement, check them out below.
As previously mentioned, Solatorobo: Red The Hunter features the work of character designer Nobuteru Yūki (Escaflowne, Record of Lodoss War) and animation from Madhouse Studios. The story follows the titular Red Savarin, an adventurer and hunter who sets off with his Robo companion Dahak on a quest to retrieve an extremely important stolen file, only to be thrown into a much deeper adventure.
A precise street date has yet to be announced, but XSEED is aiming for a North American release this fall.
