Trailer for New Goro Miyazaki/Studio Ghibli Movie Kokuriko-Zaka Kara

A Look At Hayao Miyazaki's Son's Second Feature Effort

Following his Earthsea adaptation, Goro Miyazaki's second feature looks closer to Japan with an adaptation of Chizuru Takahashi and Tetsuro Sayama's manga Kokuriko-Zaka Kara (From Kokuriko Hill).  With the movie scheduled to hit Japanese theaters on July 16th, here's a trailer. 

 

 

Masami Nagasawa (live action versions of Mitsuru Adachi's sports manga Touch andRoughGodzilla Final WarsGodzilla vs. Mothra vs. Mechagodzilla: Tokyo SOS) plays the heroine, a girl named Komatsuzaki growing up in Yokohama in the 60's.  Junichi Okada (Prince Arren in Goro Miyazaki's Tales from Earthsea adaptation) plays the male lead.
