Sentai Filmworks Announces Ro-Kyu-Bu, More at Anime Expo 2011

Distributor trumpets new additions at their convention panel

Now that Sentai Filmworks' Anime Expo panel has come and gone, we know what the North American distributor has up its sleeve next for North America.

 

Among their announcements this year were licenses for Ro-Kyu-Bu!, Loups-Garous, ef: a tale of memories, ef: a tale of melodies, and three new Saiyuki: Requiem OVAs (referring to the Saiyuki Gaiden OVA series). Loups-Garous will ship in October or November, but firm release dates for the other acquisitions have yet to be detailed.

 

Sentai also announced more Golgo 13 to come, and will be releasing the first season of Clannad on Blu-ray in November.

Yay for more Saiyuki! I don't know about any of the others. I've heard of ef at least. I will probably end up getting ef and Loups-Garous. I'm not interested in Golgo and I'm happy with my Clannad DVDs (since I don't own a Blu-Ray player). I can't wait for more Saiyuki!

lolibasketball lol... I saw the first episode of this, I would certainly watch it at the Anime Network site if they are going to stream it, and all episodes were free. But most likely they will do the usual first couple eps then pay $7 a month for 1 latecast a week. Most definetley will be sticking with Crunchyroll, Viz and NicoNico Beta, which with 6 simulcasts I'll certainly pay for both CR and them when they offer up a premium... get another 2 or 3 titles and maybe I'll pay for your streaming stuff Sentai, until then it's a wait for a DVD set from you.

You are confused Anime News Network with The Anime Network. ANN is the one that does payment per series. TAN has monthly/quarterly/annual site subscription, like Crunchyroll.

I think everyone is missing the point of this fund...I'm pretty sure it's more so for FANS OF HERS that want to help out her family. Her dying is not some big disaster, people die every day, but some people just want to show they care and support her and her family. I'm pretty sure that's ALL this fund is meant to do. It's as much of a waste as people make it, I personally think spending 10 dollars on junk food is a waste too lol but many people would disagree.
