Man Arrested for Uploading "Toaru Majutsu no Index II"

Uploaded more than 20,000 anime files illegally

On August 25, Chikusa station of Aichi Prefectural Police arrested a 40-year-old male office worker from Iwakura-city, Aichi, on suspicion of using Share file-sharing software to upload the eighth episode of TV anime "Toaru Majutsu no Index II" to the Internet on June 25 without the permission from ASCII MEDIA WORKS, the copyright holder of the series, ACCS (The Association of Copyright for Computer Software) reported.

According to the report, the suspect admitted his guilt and said that he needed to upload the files in order to download more. The police found that he had uploaded more than 20,000 files to the Internet using Share and most of them were adult anime. The total amount of the files was 2.7 TB.
