Persona 4 The Ultimate in Mayonaka Arena is certainly a strange, but welcome, announcement, and the first screens for the fighter have just surfaced courtesy of Famitsu.
They may not be the largest of screens, but they give a great idea of what to expect from a Persona 4-based fighter comin' straight out of the BlazBlue development team.
The game is set two months after the events of Persona 4. Odd as it may sound, Kuma started promoting a fighting program dubbed P-1 Grand Prix by sending out promotional videos indicating that various Persona 4 characters would be participating. This turns out to be news to them, so they hop in the television to find out exactly what's going on.
And then they start fighting, of course. In addition to the P4 roster, the fighter will also feature characters from Persona 3. As previously reported, Persona 4 The Ultimate in Mayonaka Arena is scheduled to be in Japanese arcades spring 2012 and on consoles summer 2012.
