Set to be announced in Friday's October issue of Kodansha's Bessatsu Shonen Magazine, an anime adaptation of Mitsuru Hattori's moe zombie comedy manga Sankarea is on the way.
Sankarea originally debuted in Bessatsu Shonen Magazine in 2009, and is still ongoing. The story follows zombie-obsessed high school freshman Chiharu Furuya. Chiharu's obsession becomes further realized after meeting a beautiful woman named Rea Sanka, and together they attempt to revive Chiharu's pet cat Baabu. Rea wants something more, however: she wants to become a zombie herself.
Hopefully more info on the upcoming TV anime adaptation will surface shortly.
