Fujimi Shobo announced earlier today on their site that a TV anime for the light novel series Highschool DxD would premiere in January of 2012. Today's announcement coincides with the release of the 10th novel in the series. Fujimi Shobo had announced earlier this year that an anime project was in the works.

The series will be produced by GENCO with TNK (Ikkitousen Xtreme Xecutor) in charge of anime production. Tetsuya Yanagisawa (Kannazuki no Miko) will be directing, Takao Yoshioka (Sekirei) will be doing series composition and the screenplay, and Gotou Jyunji (Ikkitousen Xtreme Xecutor) will be doing character designs.

Written by Ichiei Ishibumi and illustrated by Mayama-Zero, Highschool DxD is about Issei Hyodou, a normal perverted highschool student who gets killed by his girlfriend on his first date ever, and reincarnated as a demon by the hottest girl in the school, who makes him her manservant.
