Last month, Nippon Ichi showed off a never-before seen character at a special event. Speculation ran wild once they mentioned it would be connected to an upcoming action-RPG.
Sure enough, NIS announced The Witch and the Hundred Cavalrymen, a PS3 exclusive action-RPG that's promised to be a dark fantasy with open-world elements with graphic designs by Disgaea's Takehito Harada. One of the more interesting-sounding additions is that there will be seamless transition between towns and the outside world, and a dynamic world with residents who can change alliances and side against you depending on the choices you make.
Keeping with the idea of dark fantasy, The Witch and the Hundred Cavalrymen is promised to be a very harsh and brutal game--although the game isn't supposed to be gory at all. Cue every Jason Bourne fight scene ever, which are both insanely brutal and not gory in the least.
NIS fans and haters, let's hear what you have to say! I wasn't happy with how they handled actioners with the Prinny games, but maybe going back to an RPG setup will make things work out better. Your thoughts?
