First Japanese Band Ever to Play at Historic NYC Venue

J-rock band L’Arc-en-Ciel have just broken new ground for Japanese music in the USA. As part of their 2012 World Tour, the group will be playing a March, 23rd show at Madison Square Garden in NYC, making them the first Japanese act ever to headline at this historic venue.

 

L’Arc-en-Ciel is currently celebrating their 20th anniversary as a group. Their latest single "XXX" recently ranked number one on the Oricon weeklu singles chart

March 3, 2012 (Sat) - Hong Kong / Asia World EXPO ARENA
March 7, 2012 (Wed) -　Bangkok / IMPACT ARENA

March 17, 2012 (Sat) – Taipei / TWTC Nangang Exhibition Hall

Whenever I think of Madison Square Garden, Muhammad Ali whuppin' Joe Frazier and the first Wrestlemania come to mind.  But J-rock, too? Sure, bring it on.

I'll be watching the ticket sites to make sure I can go!!!! Love Daybreak's Bell, if they play that I might lose it, one of my favorite Gundam themes :D

This isn't true. They aren't playing at Madison Square Garden, they are playing at The Theatre at Madison Square Garden, which is a completely separate and different venue.
Madison Square Garden is 20,000 seats capacity.
The Theatre at Madison Square Garden is 5,600 seats capacity.
I'm happy they're touring anywhere, but I hope this is corrected because the information is incorrect.
