Kenshiro, the protagonist of the classic Fist of the North Star manga and anime, has been transformed under the supervision of creator Tetsuo Hara and Kaiyodo into a life sized figure standing 6 feet tall studded with 500,000 individual pieces of sparkling Swarovski Crystal (estimated value: US$130,000).
The figure will exhibited on display at Tokyo’s Haneda airport beginning November 1st and will be auctioned off for charity in mid-November via the Comics Zero Online shop where smaller, and cheaper, Swarovski Crystal Kenshiro figures will also be sold beginning October 25.
