By now, we figure most of you are familiar with the song and video for PONPONPON, sung by a young Japanese model who calls herself Kyary Pamyu Pamyu. Since her video was released this summer, it has racked up over seven million hits on YouTube and has turned Kyary into a new Harajuku style icon.
Keeping up with Kyary’s post-fame adventures in music, fashion, blogging, and live appearances has been busy work for fans. But now, an official Kyary Pamyu Pamyu app for the iPhone makes the saga much easier to follow.

The official Way Way App (as in, “PONPON way way PON”) is free to download and contains numerous features, including (but not limited to)…

Photos: The categories include Kyary’s fashion, her nail art, candid photos, and best of all, a “strange face gallery” (seen at left).
Music: If you don’t already own Kyary’s debut e.p., produced by Yasutaka Nakata of Perfume fame, you can buy the tracks and listen to them here. Kyary has also been in the studio of late, so new songs are also forthcoming.
Video: Watch the PV for PONPONPON until your eyeballs fall out and roll around on the floor.

Movie: watch Kyary goof around with her pals, acting like they have high blood pressure while wearing oversized glasses with no lenses.

Ameba:a link to Kyary’s blog where she uploads a steady stream of wacky images including this recent one of her sprouting a very distinguished moustache (left).
The Way Way iPhone App is free and can be downloaded here. It has language support for English and other languages, although Kyary's writing (along with her speaking and singing) remain in Japanese.
