"The Secret World of Arrietty" Anime Gets a G Rating

No surprise from the MPAA

Box Office Mojo has listed Studio Ghibli's The Secret World of Arrietty, as having received a G rating from the MPAA. What else did you expect? 

 

The Motion Picture Assocation of America would remind you that, "The G rating is not a 'certificate of approval,' nor does it signify a 'children’s' motion picture." However, the G rating does mean that it doesn't contain so much as a hint of a mature theme or whisper of profanity. Parents, at ease! 

 

Disney's English language release of The Secret World of Arrietty (screenplay by Hayao Miyazaki and Keiko Niwa based on the book The Borrowers by Mary Norton) hits theaters Feburary 17th. If you missed the trailer, here it is again:
