Love Silent Hill? You're in luck, as 2012 will officially be the year three different Silent Hill titles see release.
In fact, they're all coming out in fairly close proximity of one another. Silent Hill HD Collection—which contains remastered versions of Silent Hill 2 and 3—has been moved to January 24 on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.
That date puts it just a month ahead of the series' first PlayStation Vita outing, Book of Memories (pictured below), due to be released in February. This one looks distinctly different from any Silent Hill before it, with a top-down view and multiplayer, a series first.
From Konami's press release:
The story begins with a strange book that is received; inside that book is your entire life story and all of your memories. You discover that by altering what's written... you can actually change the past. You can write your own ideal history. And for the first time ever in a Silent Hill game, it will support multiplayer, so friends can share in the fright in a co-op mode.
Finally, there's Silent Hill: Downpour, which is scheduled for PS3 and 360 sometime in March after previously being pushed back to a much less clear date. Better get ready for 2012 to kick off with some frights!
