"Gundam SEED" Anime Marks 10th Anniversary With HD Remaster

Gearing up for the series' 10th anniversary, Sunrise has relaunched its Gundam SEED site to promote a new HD remaster of the 2002 Gundam revival.  The teen drama infused mecha war epic will return to Japanese TV on New Years ahead of a March release of the first Blu-ray box set.

 

The 11 episode first Blu-ray box set hits Japan on March 23rd, with a limited edition selling for 21,000 yen and the standard for 18,900 yen. Special features include audio commentary on the first episode of each disc, clean opening/ending, and, on the limited edition, a special booklet and cover jacket.

 

Amazon Japan is listning the next two box sets for June and September

 

 

Mikikazu Komatsu notes that Gundam SEED is being featured prominently at this weekend's Gunpla Expo World Tour Japan 2011

the writer for the movie has brain cancer and irrc supposedly the director is the writers husband so basically the project was cancelled and besides it would of turned out really bad like destiny anyway.
