Japanese police don't stop pursuing illegal manga/anime uploaders. Community Safety Administration Division and Consumer&Environment Protection Division of Gifu Prefectural Police, and Gifu Minami station announced that on November 7 they have arrested a 49-year-old office worker from Ibi District, Gifu, on suspicion of using Share file-sharing software to upload the 11th volume of "Sorano Otoshimono" manga published by Kadokawa Shoten and the second volume of "Kono S o, Miyo!" by Shogakukan to the internet without the permission from the copyright holders on June 17 this year.
The suspect admitted his guilt and testified to the police, "I wanted to raise people's awareness of those titles by uploading." Is there no other/better way for the purpose? What's your thought?
