Nintendo's Virtual Console service has a ton of great titles on it, but they rarely take advantage of Wii's online capabilities, instead opting for straightforward ports. Not so with the upcoming Sega Genesis / Mega Drive version of Super Street Fighter II: The New Challengers.
Fans of the fighter will be able to tackle the Virtual Console version with added online play and duke it out with friends. While Super Street Fighter II is currently set to hit the Japanese Virtual Console, it's also planned for release in the US and Europe.
There's no set date at the moment, but it's nice to see Capcom adding online play to older titles outside of Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. Hey, Wii owners wanna fight, too, ok!?
