Live-Action "Akira" Film Not in Ezra Miller's Plans

Warner Bros. Will Have to Look Elsewhere for Its Tetsuo

The Perks of Being a Wallflower star Ezra Miller recently spoke to Moviefone to shoot down talk that he was in the running to play Tetsuo in the live-action adaptation of Akira. "It's not true," he said in a phone interview. "That, I can assure you, will not be a reality."

"It's a beautiful Japanese epic and I think it'll be a very entertaining, fun film, but no, it's not my next move," he said.

His upcoming films include Another Happy Day, Toronto International Film Festival hit We Need to Talk About Kevin, and the 2012 release Perks of Being a Wallflower.
