VIDEO: Jean Reno as Doraemon in Toyota Ad

Suneo and Shizuka at Age 30 Introduced Too

The second commercial in Toyota's Doraemon ad campaign introduces Tomohisa Yamashita as the rich kid Suneo at age 30, Asami Mizukawa as the grown up pretty girl next door, Shizuka, and of all people, French actor Jean Reno (Léon: The Professional, the regrettable American Godzilla) as the titular blue robot cat from the 22nd century.

 

 

The first ad introduced Satoshi Tsumabuki as Nobita, the underachiever whose great-great grandson sends Doraemon back in time and Naoya Ogawa as the bully Gian:

Considering I've seen him in a few comedies like Wasabi, this works though I'm not sure if I'd be scared stiff or going OMG if Reno came out of MY desk! :P
