Skullgirls Tournament at SoCal Regionals Awards Cash Prize
$1000 cash prize to be awarded to Skullgirls tournament winner next month during SoCal Regionals tournament
In order to build hype for the 2012 release of the Skullgirls 2d fighting game developed by Reverge Labs and being published by Autumn Games next year, the publisher is offering those that participate in the Skullgirls side tournament $1000 cash to the winner.
This marks the first time that the game, which is a current staple of tournament exhibitions will feature a tournament with a payout, though the game will not be officially featured as a main game during the actual SoCal Regionals event, instead being relegated to an optional side tournament.
Skullgirls will be released for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 in 2012 via Playstation Network and Live Marketplace respectively. The trailer for the event, featuring new Skullgirls footage can be seen below.
