Wii RPG "The Last Story" Heads to Europe in February

Another sought-after Wii game finds its way out of Japan

Everyone was rightfully excited when Xenoblade Chronicles was finally announced for North American release last week, but there are still more titles Wii fans are pining for. One such game is The Last Story, and it's officially been confirmed for release in Europe on February 24, 2012.

The Last Story is especially notable because it comes from Final Fantasy creator Hironobu Sakaguchi. The action-RPG features a single-player story mode, as well as co-op and deathmatch modes for up to six players. Here's the synopsis via the press release:

During The Last Story you take control of Zael and from time to time his partners, a band of mercenaries in search of their fortune. You undertake a series of missions and explore Lazulis Island and its sprawling medieval capital Lazulis City, while trying to help Zael achieve his ultimate goal of leaving his life as a mercenary behind and becoming a true knight.

While The Last Story may not be hitting North America yet, this is one step closer to more of Operation Rainfall's demanded titles making it out of Japan and into the hands of overseas gamers.
