Weird Designs and Weird Poses Galore!

2011 was a banner year for JoJo's Bizarre Adventure. It launched "JoJoLion," an eighth phase of the franchise with a bewildering return to the fictional town of Morio, now affected by the 2011 Tōhoku earthquake. The first volume of JoJoLion, the 105th of the overall series, hits stores on December 19th. The year also marked the 25th anniversary of JoJo's Bizarre Adventure and the 30th of its creator's career.

 

 

The Animate stores are marking this with bookmarks featuring the likenesses of the eight Jojo's:

 

Meanwhile, special white anniversary versions of Banpresto's prize figures of JoJo 1-7 are being offered.

 

Along those lines, Taro Amusement Center will have a limited special "Why White" anniversary version of the upcoming Banpresto MASTER STARS PIECE Jotaro Kujo:

For those first 7 figures I was about to say "This is like a collection of White Michael Jackson figures." Sooo, yeah, moving right along...

I agree with missnthrope's evaluation of the whole collection.

I wish we could get the entire Jojo manga series translated. We didn't even get the 3rd Jojo's manga series finished here in the US. That's just irritating.
That The World figure sure looks awesome alright. So they can make figurines, that's nice and all, but how about some more goddam OVAs!? How hard can it be to get this an anime adaption, when it clearly is popular among fans.
Animating JoJo is a terrifying legal minefield. They tried to animate Part One as a movie several years ago, and while the movie was finished and released in theaters, it never saw a home video release.

Rumor is that Araki absolutely hated the movie.
This is so ridiculous and flamboyant.
