Third Season of Bakuman Announced

Set to air next fall in Japan

Tsugumi Ohba and Takeshi Obata's manga about aspiring manga artists, Bakuman, will have a third season next fall. 

 

 

The second season is currently airing. The first season ran 25 episodes from October 2010 to April of this year. Meanwhile the original manga has been serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump since 2008. 

 

Next fall is a bit of a wait, but hopefully it will be worth it!

Great! But why are the secound season only 13 episodes?! :( I miss the days when an Anime was like 52 episodes like Gundam Seed.

The second season is definitely 25 episodes, the 13 stated here is incorrect.

Nope, what was stated is correct. The second season only has 11 (probably 12 now) episodes aired, it makes sense that they will have the 13th on the 24th.

Eh? When I saw the title, I was like, YESSSS! But if the 2nd season is only going to be 13 episodes...Then with another 13-episode season, it's just like having 2 seasons in the end...Ah well, I suppose I should still be grateful we're getting more. ^_^

Still wonder why you and Media Blasters can't work out something for these shows. I guess it is okay, the story of Bakuman has been making me a bit mad recently.

HOLY SHIT. YEAH!!! <- First reaction.

SO HAPPY...

Still have not watched the first two seasons since I don't pirate anime unless it's super old and has pretty much no chance of legal avalability, but since Bakuman is already being released in America I have no reason to pirate it... I will buy it when I can though!

I'm just so happy it is getting a third season, for real. I'm so glad I've been a fan since chapter one...

(For the record, I do read the scanlations but I only read scanlations of manga I buy, and I buy every volume of Bakuman.)

I love this series so much so seeing it do so well, to get a third season, makes me very happy!!!
