VIDEO: Square Enix Shows Off New "Wakfu" Character Classes

European Free-to-Play MMO Goes Open Beta in January

French fantasy massively multiplayer game Wakfu will be coming to North America from Square Enix in February 2012, with an open beta beginning January 4, 2012. It's famous for having over a dozen character classes, and Square Enix posted trailers of two of the newest.

 

Wakfu has been adapted into a French language animated series, while Eunyoung Choi and Masaaki Yuasa's team behind critically lauded anime Kaiba and Kemonozume produced a Wakfu short titled Noximilien l'Horloger. The game will be free to download and play, with a $6.00 monthly subscription fee offering access to premium content, and a microtransaction-based store will allow users to purchase cosmetic items.

Wakfu/Dofus was made by a french company and translated out to other countries. Might want to fix that. ;)

its a good game, but its severly different from the thousands of clone mmorpg titles. not many people like it because its a to far out idea
