Crunchyroll is venturing into new territory this Thursday, as it partners with Yomiuri TV to kick off its first Japanese drama simulcast, Secret Agent Erika. Users can check out the spy-thriller show, starring Chiaki Kuriyama (Kill Bill, Battle Royale), at 8:30 am PST.
Secret Agent Erika follows Erika Takahashi, a former agent for Japan's Cabinet Information Investigation Department. Despite being retired and happily married, her secret life—which she even hid from her own husband—emerges after a request comes down from the highest level.
The latest episodes will be rolling out right after they air in Japan, with the rest of the series catching up shortly thereafter. Secret Agent Erika will be available in the U.S.A., Canada, United Kingdom, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, Sweden, Denmark, Norway, Finland, Iceland, Netherlands, Brazil and Portugal.
