Previously known simply as Fire Emblem, the 3DS entry in Nintendo's strategy-RPG series was given a title and date at today's Nintendo Direct event. Fire Emblem: Awakening will hit shelves in Japan on April 19.
Nintendo President Satoru Iwata mentioned that the game would play similarly to previous entries in the series, but he did not disclose details regarding the planned paid DLC. Fire Emblem: Awakening will be the first 3DS game to use the portable's ability to offer extra game items via downloadable content purchases.
