Arc System Works Interested in "BlazBlue" Anime and Third Game

Big news to see an actual numbered installment instead of a title update from ASW

A recent interview with Japanese gaming magazine Gemaga revealed that BlazBlue designer/Guilty Gear producer and director Toshimichi Mori is interested in making BlazBlue 3, the follow-up to BlazBlue: Continuum Shift. The title would actually be a new numbered installment and not just an update like the upcoming Continuum Shift Extend.

Mori didn't mention whether or not the title would conclude the BlazBlue story (as most trilogies have been doing lately), and no word was given about what titles Arc System Works might be interested in after completing BlazBlue 3.

Mori did state that he would like to see a BlazBlue anime made, and left hints for studio producers to contact him. Heck, BlazBlue: Calamity Trigger had a great anime opening that could practically double as a series OP:

While this isn't exactly an exclusive thing, it does really set the stage for games and gives you hope for an actual anime to be made. What do you think? Are you more interested in what a third BlazBlue game will bring, or does an anime sound more appealing? How about both?

there was a poll awhile back to see if their was enough interest for a blazblue anime and i guess it succeded since it sounds like mori is actually pushing for it as for blazblue three i really hope it comes out next year but knowing them probably 2016 that way they can release continuum shift for the billionth time.
Third game sounds more interesting to myself. THe games already pretty much are animes with everything that goes on.
it's about time they decide to make the 3rd game and even a anime that should have been made a long time ago. can't for more info on this
3rd Game should be great but would be interesting to see Jubei as a selectable character
realistic i see Jubei as well, along with Torakaka and MAYBE Kokonoe and Saya....but what i'm wishing is Bang's Subordinate A and B, and.....-drumroll-......HYPE DOG! XD
I would like both. BlazBlue fans have been asking for an Anime for some time now. Even BlazBlue Europe made a petition to get the ball rolling last year.
They also need to do a Blazblue VS Guilty Gear epic Failsafe!
I'd be really happy if there was an anime! :D I just bought Calamity Trigger for the PS3 recently and just beat Rachel's story~! It's really interesting and the game's OP is awesome! ^^

As for a 3rd game, I'm all for it! XD But before that, please allow me to finish the 1st and 2nd games before it's released. :)
My brother's the one who plays the games, and he told me he doesn't think there really needs to be a third game. An anime, however, is something we both hope for. That would be so cool!
I really want to see an anime version of Blazblue, even though when I play it I already feel like I am
As for a third game I would like to see that as well
Can't wait to see more news on this
More interested in BlazBlue getting the 3rd game. If it does get a anime, I'll still be a happy BlazBlue fan! =D
More Blazblue? Yes please.
Arc should just have me bankrupt cause Blazblue has been my fav series...dunno whether i should get EXTEND but meh, i might
BlazBlue anime?
A 3rd Game?
MAKE IT HAPPEN!!
Anime is win but game is winner because the visual novel story telling and voice acting is pure win. It lets you imagine stuff way beyond anime.
BOTH YES PLEASE OMG YES
Totally loving Blazblue in all it's forms, its what i expected a 2d fighter would look like on a next gen console and it hasn't failed. But what would you expect from the guys from guilty gear :¬)
this game made me get off my ass and build a Arcade stick from scratch just to pull out all the stops.
keep em'coming guys, an anime would just be iceing on the cake.

IF only street fighter 4 had come out as good looking and fluidly animated as blazblue it would still be my number one fighter. I would have loved to have seen a street fighter game in 2d running at 60fps with a full roster plus extra's like 3rd strike... well enough of that. I'll just have to wait till the pull there finger out and release a hd version for my ps3 ( still got it for my dreamcast )
Well, the first game had really well done anime cut scenes, unlike continuum shift where characters looked completely flat that being said, this game had suffer from too many character design changes!!!! like how they change them from calamity trigger to continuum shift, and extend, production I.G change all the characters design at will and I don't know who the **** let them, continuum shift 2 opening leave the original design alone but extend completely changed them which really pissed me off, hopefully the design from extend won't remain for the BB3 or else I might go all the way to Japan and shot whoever is in charge of the character design.
I think every BlazBlue fan has commented at some point that BlazBlue would be great in full anime form. I certainly support the idea.

I think I recall that they previously said "BlazBlue is about halfway through its story". I think that the next full title may indeed conclude the current "arc", but I don't think they'll stop BlazBlue and move on to other projects. BlazBlue has been pretty well received, so I think they'd intend to carry it on.

Though I think they also want to find the time to give Guilty Gear more attention now that they got the rights back. I wouldn't mind both series developing in parallel.
I approve it would have a great cast of a characters.
well an anime for it would be interesting, the game is also pretty good itself too
yes!! We need an anime for this, The anime segments in the games are good buh it would be cool to see it as an anime too, expand the blazblue audience
I've been dying for an anime ever since I played the 1st game.
Holy shit, first Grimmjow from Bleach is confirmed to be alive, then the Relius Clover trailer, and now there's talk about a BlazBlue anime?! The world is awesome!!!
