Bear with us on this, but there are peeps in Japan getting excited about a possible connection between Noizi Ito and Nippon Ichi Software that seems to indicate she might be doing character designs for the upcoming, as of yet untitled, game they teased this week.
Incidentally, it looks as though Famitsu has updated that article yet again, and the new game may or may not be a straight RPG or dungeon crawler, since the description is now basically just "new game."
Back to Noizi Ito, but let's start at the beginning. The Gamers headquarters store in Akihabara was giving away Nippon Ichi Software New Year's greeting cards. They retweeted @Toypla01, who said of the card, "I was suprised at who the artist was!" @Toypla01 later stated that the artist was Noizi Ito. She designed characters for the Shakugan no Shana and Haruhi Suzumiya light novels, plus various games under UNiSONSHIFT; you can also see her character concepts in the upcoming school mystery anime, Another.
Pictures of the New Year's card surfaced later on message boards:
"I hope that 2012 is a good year for you."

Now flash back to the announcement the other day of Nippon Ichi's new game, with the first of three key phrases being "seven angels." The above halo and feathery white wings are pretty suggestive—for some people, to the point of implying she's doing character designs for the game! Could be true, though, right?
Would you be stoked for a game by the Disgaea team featuring characters drawn by Noizi Ito instead of Takehito Harada?
