"Familiar of Zero F" Anime Joins Crunchyroll's Winter 2012 Season

Fantasy comedy series based on the light novels by Noboru Yamaguchi

The fourth season of the Zero no Tsukaima anime, Familiar of Zero F, will be streamed as part of Crunchyroll's Winter 2012 lineup. The fantasy comedy series is based on the light novels by Noboru Yamaguchi (with illustrations by Eiji Usatsuka) published by MF Bunko J. 

 

According to the official synopsis:

 

“Familiar of Zero F follows the adventures of second-year student, Louise and Saito at the Tristain Academy of Magic. While reluctantly paired with Saito, their relationship develops as they solve mysteries and uncover unexpected truths, including the nature of Saito's mysterious power...”

 

 

Familiar of Zero F will be viewable in North America only.

 

Timing and launch details will be announced soon at Crunchyroll.com.

After watching Kill Me Baby, I hope CR doesn't get it. I was expecting something zany like Squid Girl or Yuru Yuri, and this is not it.

On the other hand, somebody needs to pick up Symphogear. Best show I've seen this season so far.

Same... I really enjoyed Kill Me Baby... although i put Squid Girl and Yuru Yuri in the funny but not amazing category. KMB seems to have a lot of potential and the first ep was pretty damn good.

Symphogear is something that I missed scanning through the new series coming out this season and it's been added to my list after reading the description.

It is delayed by a few hours shy of 2 days from the *first* airing in Japan.

The first airing in Japan on AT-X was on January 7 at 8:30 AM (4:30 PM EST on January 6 in the U.S.), and it begins streaming on CR on January 8 at noon EST.

So if you are part of the "will watch the first place it is available, whether it is legit or not" crowd, you'll be disappointed.

Very interesting! Considering that it is North America only that suggests that they have formed some partnership with a NA publisher for this show. It's clearly not Funimation so is Sentai picking up this???

Out of all the simulcasts announced so far (not sure about the continuing simulcasts) this is the only one that is 'only NA'. I'd say they're doing a pretty darn good job this season.

I found the previous season quite horrible, but this season is quite nice. Both in availability and content :)

Also I was abit surprised that CR got it, but it didn´t surprise me that this very anime would be NA only.
