Longtime Anime Dub Voice Actress Sues IMDB

Texas based actress launches controversial suit

This fall, the entertainment press chattered about and debated a lawsuit filed against the Internet Movie Database (IMDB) in which an actress claimed that the site violated her right of privacy and opened her up to rampant discrimination by disclosing her age. In recent court filings, the actress revealed herself as Junie Hoang, a Texas based performer who worked on ADV's anime dubs in the mid 90's and early 00's.

Hoang's largest anime role was as Chun Li in the ADV dub of Street Fighter II V. She had incidental roles Ushio and Tora, Bakuretsu Hunters, Bubblegum Crisis: Tokyo 2040, Dirty Pair, Dirty Pair Flash, New Cutey Honey, Power Dolls, and Spriggan, with minor named roles in Martian Successor Nadesico, Galaxy Fraulein Yuna, and Compiler.
