If you haven't heard of The Artist, wait until Oscar nominations come out. The neo-silent movie is sure to collect a bunch. Still, the movie has detractors. Actress Kim Novak took exception to its use of Bernard Herrmann's score from Alfred Hitchcock's Vertigo, and the kerfuffle spawned the VERTIGOED mash-up contest.


Greg Stevens put together an entry setting Akira to Hermann's "Scene D'Amour."
