VIDEO: First Trailer for Mamoru Hosoda's Anime Movie "The Wolf Children Ame and Yuki"

Next movie from "Summer Wars" director premieres July 21, 2012

The first trailer for Ookami Kodomo no Ame to Yuki (The Wolf Children Rain and Snow), the upcoming fairy tale from the The Girl Who Leapt Through Time / Summer Wars team of director Mamoru Hosoda, script writer Satoko Okudera and character designer Yoshiyuki Sadamoto, was rolled out today.

 

The Wolf Children will premiere in Japanese theaters on July 21, 2012.

OH MY GOD AWESOME!!! It's really funny actually yesterday I just found out about Summer Wars and since I saw "The Girl Who Leapt Through Time" I decided yesterday that I have to see the movie! And now I find out about this one the next day! XD EXCITING!!!! CAN'T WAIT! >W<

This simply can't come to the US fast enough. I've been a fan of Hosoda since I watched the Digimon movie when I was smaller.

Looks great. I like the way she changed into wolf form while running through the snow. Since I have both "The Girl Who Leapt Through Time" and "Summer Wars" and think both are great, this will be a must buy for me when it's available.

Awesome everyone is excited for the film! Hosoda is one of the best directors working today, and with his great crew from Madhouse and Studio Chizu (the new studio he formed to make the film), I know the animation and art will be terrific. I really hope this gets licensed for the US very soon; I know I can't wait to see it! Like others have said already, a must buy, so licensors, hope you're listening, 'cause you can have my money!
