Yen Press has outlined its manga plans for this spring and summer. Debuts include Madoka Magica, Haruhi spin-off The Disappearance of Nagato Yuki-Chan, Soul Eater Not! and Until Death Do Us Part.
The Madoka Magica manga, credited to the Magica Quartet and Hanokage, which started in Japan in February 2011, makes its North American debut in May. A 450-page double-sized volume of Until Death Do Us Part will also be released in May. The 15-volume (and still ongoing) seinen adventure/science fiction series, written by Hiroshi Takashige, is about a young “precognitive” whose powers of prediction make her a target for greedy corporations.
Volume 1 of The Disappearance of Nagato Yuki-Chan, which takes place in the world described in the fourth Haruhi novel—by Nagaru Tanigawa, Puyo, and Noizi Ito—is due from in July.
Soul Eater Not!, a spin-off of Atsushi Ohkubo’s highly popular Soul Eater mostly featuring new characters, will also start in July.
