VIDEO: Japan Celebrates 10 Years of Salon du Chocolat with Hatsune Miku

Miku's duet with French singer Clémentine

Salon du Chocolat, a world class chocolate trade fair originating in Paris, France in 1994, is being held for the tenth time in Japan beginning January 25th at the Isetan department store in Shinjuku. To commemorate a decade's worth of this international chocolate event in Japan, a collabo song between Japanese Vocaloid Hatsune Miku and French jazz/pop singer Clémentine was released:

OSTER project wrote the song, "The Enchanted Chocolatier," and although she doesn't generally appear in public, she was at this event. She caused a bit of excitement when she described her feelings about getting asked to write the song with the catchphrase from manga character Tensai Bakabon, "It'll be alright." [Note: There may have been some misunderstanding, however, since they actually quote her as saying, "I thought, 'Will this be good enough?'"]

Clémentine was fine with the idea of working with the Vocaloid: "[Hatsune Miku] is very popular even in France. The project was more fun that I thought it would be, and a new experiment! It's a really cute, fun song."

A very beautiful use of what sounds like the "sweet" append for Miku. French and Japanese sounds surprisingly pleasant together!
Yeah, first thing I thought when I heard it was, "Wow, whatever append they used is perfect."
When I scrolled past this article alert on Facebook, I thought I saw "VIDEO: Japan Fetus... with Hatsune Miku."
