Warner Bros. Japan's "special preview" gets down to business

Okay, I know we all love Kentaro Miura's Berserk for its wild and dark fantasy story, but I think it's fair to say we're also hoping for a lot of action in Studio 4ºC's upcoming film. See Guts hack and slash in the latest "special preview" for Berserk Golden Age Arc I: Egg of the Supreme Ruler. 

 

 

Guts will wield his gigantic sword in Japanese theaters on February 4.

not a fan of cel shaded CG for the fight scenes but I am still really looking forward to this movie

The cel shading is truly abhorring. But I will definitely watch it nonetheless.

I'm kind of with people on the cel-shading thing. I just expect more... interesting animation from 4ºC. Anyway, whatever, I'll be watching it for sure.

I don't mind the cell shading for most of it, but it looks like it will be very distracting for me in the fight scenes. I also don't mind CG character models and scenery, but sometimes it doesn't work. The horses in that clip really stick out to me when they're not running in a straight line, and I've always kind of cringed every time I see Zodd. I'll still probably really enjoy these movies, though, simply because it's Berserk.

Definitely I wanna see this! I own the original anime series , and based on that, the animation in this movie is a helluva lot better!

Agree on the cel-shading, not a fan.....and i know grithith is supposed to be a pretty boy.....but i think they made him way too femine......anyway, still looking foward to the completed work

0.0 I will take the cell shading over the original where it just showed a single scrolling picture and let imagination go to work any day. been waiting for berserk to remake stuff for a long while hopefully after this they can bring back the series again and continue on because the series stopped where the manga begins.
