A Look at Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm Generations' 85 Characters!

An early look at the staggering cast of upcoming fighting game

Namco Bandai and CyberConnect2 recently showcased Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm Generations at the 2012 Taipei International Book Exhibition in Taiwan. And from the event, fans have been able to desconstruct a list of the game's staggering 85 character roster.

 

 

75 playable characters are planned for the game. The screenshots don't include one of the five versions of Sasuke to be featured (Susano, Akatsuki, Chidori Spear, Kirin, and Part 1), a version of Naruto and presumably, three hidden characters.

Rows 9 and 10 of the list are support characters only and not fully playable.

Are you sure? I've never played them, but from the Wiki page, the Budokai games had 23-42 characters (Budokai 3 having the most). This game has almost double that

I guess I didn't look up the Budokai Tenkaichi series which have up to 161 characters (though to be fair that includes 'powered up' versions of some characters, but still has over 100 characters)

This has 4 alternate versions of Naruto and Sasuke. If you count each character only 'once' then half the roster dissapears. Season 1 Naruto and Shippuden Naruto is still the same person.

If you include powered up game versions, this game has a slightly above average roster, my guess is that the individual movesets of the characters aren't gonna be as deep as other games. Take Dead or Alive for example. Tiny cast by comparison but the characters have far more combos and much more varied fighting styles.

I hate how they add new support characters in every game that comes out, then you have to wait for the next one for those character to become playable. Dunno why they just didnt add them in the first place.

So we got 75 playable characters. three hidden characters. Which Should make it 78 playable characters I hope. 15 non fully playable characters. But I feel Like Im missing Somthing?

85 characters a number of which are just different versions of characters they have already put in :S around 10 of which are just naruto and sasuke in deifferent stages of development :S last two games were lazy this one looks worse
